Casino news of the week

In this week’s casino news, we look at the reopening of casinos in England. We also guide you through the hottest slot releases of the week.

English casinos to reopen soon

The government has announced that casinos in England will be allowed to reopen their doors on the 1st of August. This was announced by Boris Johnson earlier this month. All casinos in England have been closed since the 20th of May due to the nation-wide lockdown. Scotland will follow shortly after, as Scottish bingo halls and casinos will be allowed to reopen later in August.

Michael Dugher, chief executive of the BGC, commented: “After four long months of lockdown, it’s fantastic to see casinos will reopen safely for business again on 1 August. I am delighted that they can now play their part in supporting the recovery of the tourism and hospitality sector.”. The announcement means that all casinos and bingo halls in England will be able to reopen this weekend.
